Interesting sites, privacy issues, and more…
There seem to be a huge number of possibilities out there that we (teachers and students) can use, but where do we start?
One that I am looking at is rafi.ki which looks pretty interesting. How do we use it in the classroom? I’m not sure - we don’t have the time, because we still have to teach all the curriculum.
Other interesting sites:
- www.voki.com create an avatar like what you see on this page
- www.toondoo.com create cartoons
Check them out.
When students are publishing information on the net, we have to be careful about privacy. There are some interesting conversations going on in other blogs (eg: the edublogger, Al Upton’s blog) - I am going to have to get some ideas for our school.
By the way, adding audio to some slides can be done through voicethread, but you wouldn’t start with a powerpoint presentation if you were doing it this way.
